The advertisements on SoMinty are based on “weights”. Every ad in a set of ads is displayed randomly one after the other making sure that each ad is displayed before any repetitions are made. The only exception here is if one of the ads has more “weight”. Each image has a weight of 1 by default. Which basically means that if we display 5 ads in total, an image with a weight of 1 has a chance of being displayed 1 in 5 times. If you would like your ad to be shown more times than usual, for lets say a product launch or a special event, more weight can be added to the image for a fee. So then, an ad with a weight of 2, for example, will be displayed 2 in 5 times.

Pricing for advertising on SoMinty vary depending on the placement, the “weight” (as mentioned above) of the ad and also on how many places you want the ad to be seen on SoMinty. We currently support these ad image sizes:

• 468×60 (Home page, right next to the search form AND on individual article pages right under the article)
• 410×60 (Sidebar in individual article page)
• 210×60 (Bottom of home page AND on top of sidebar in individual article page)
• 200×60 (Sidebar in individual article page)
