Heavenly Delight

So, summer’s here in all its glory. Instead of hitting the cafes for lemonades and cocktails, our very own infamous upper class “Aunties of Lahore” prefer to stay in the comfort of their luxurious homes and concoct beat-the-heat recipes. Here’s a perfect, simple way to cool yourself down without having to pour water down your shirt :)

Ingredients:
  • 1 packet of biscuits
  • 4 bananas
  • 1 cup fresh cream
  • 1 tin condensed milk (approx. 200g)
  • 1 can of tinned pineapples (or fruits of your choice)
  • 1 large Kit Kat (or chocolate chips)

Slice bananas into thin slices, drain the pineapple juice from the tin, and chop finely. Crush the Kit Kat using a chopper; the biscuits may be crushed as well.

Layering:

Put a layer of biscuits in a flat dish. Mix together the bananas and pineapples and spread these over the biscuits. Sprinkle the crushed Kit Kat on the top and then pour around 1/3 of the condensed milk on the layer of chocolates. Top this layer with whipped cream and sprinkle the remaining pineapples or mixed fruits over the cream. Finally, to top it off, the remaining condensed milk should be drizzled over the fruits. The dish should be placed in a freezer for about half an hour, and then kept to store in the fridge. Serve it chilled. It’s easy to make and oh-so-yummy to eat!

Bon appetit, mes amis.
